It continued to rain heavily all night but it had brightened up quite a bit by the time we left the house to go for a walk along the paseo maritimo down in Marbella. We had lunch at one of the restaurants on the front (by the Marbella Club Hotel, this is the little pier that runs out from the beach there) and had quite a shock at the prices on the menu (pesky exchange rates) and so we all plumped for something cheap rather than something we wanted to eat...won't be doing that again
