Butts

This morning we decided that we'd redeem the Hop-on-hop-off tour tickets that we had.  We did a trip around most of the circuit and then got off at the Dublin zoo.

I'm not really a big fan of zoo's but do admire the breeding work that Dublin zoo are doing.  I was actually pretty impressed with the zoo overall.

My sister is a particular fan of gorillas, and one of the others in our group is a fan of elephants, so we made sure to spend time  at each enclosure. Sadly none of my photos of those animals is particularly noteworthy so I've opted for this classic shot of a pair of zebras.  

I also got very excited to get some seriously close up photos of a heron (see extras) and even photographed my first northern hemisphere robin - a classic robin redbreast.

On leaving the zoo we headed for the Jameson's Whiskey Old Distillery where we did an informative tour which included a tasting of three different types of whiskey (Scotch, Irish and USA) and finished up with a few whiskey sours.  

My Blaze was a Jameson's drinker so the tour was done for him.  We raised our glasses to him and poured him his own drink.  I hope he enjoyed it. 

We finished up the night with a "Night Tour" of Dublin.
