Sparkle

I had the afternoon off for 9yo's sports day, I think she is happy with her part in the second placed relay team. It's surprising any of them had any energy after sitting in the sun for two hours, but they gave it their all.

I took the long way home through Tong Park and Spring Wood, encountering much as I did yesterday with the addition of a couple of Small Tortoiseshell, a Green-veined White and my first Cinnabar of the year. This picture of a Small Skipper perched next to Gill Beck is my favourite of the day though. It's technically on the Leeds side of the Beck, but I won't hold that against it.
