If you Could See What I Can See...
Woke at 6.30am and could see the blue sky and sunshine peeping through the blinds so decided to get up and get the day started.
Johnny and Lewis arrived to continue hanging the two new sets of double doors in the hall (which should have been straightforward but nothing ever is and it's ended up with them having to build new door frames) and well as the tiler to tile the steps at the back of the house that lead into the garden.
He handed David a box of grout colour samples and I inwardly groaned as I honestly thought I had made the final decision regarding building work. In the end we opted for a matching grout as opposed to a contrasting grout as I just couldn't be bothered thinking that deeply about it. Then, unfortunately as he got ready to start tiling, he discovered the supplier had sent the wrong edging tiles. After a rather tense phone call to the supplier it transpired they would have to order the correct tiles in so now that job won't be completed till next week.
Daniel from the Home Control company also pitched up to connect the new ceiling speakers in what will be Alan's living room, and thankfully that seemed to go according to plan.
This afternoon we had the annual meeting with the main manager of the company we use to manage Alan's support team, to check we are still happy with the service they provide. We are, so it was a positive meeting, with just one or two minor niggles raised and easily solved.
And in amongst all that, the window cleaner arrived and this shot of him washing the lantern in the garden room is the only photo I've taken today so that's my blip. The white dots and slashes you can see on the walls and ceiling are not horrendous dust spots on my camera sensor, they are light reflections bounding off the glitter ball when the sun hits it :-)
Alan and Kirsten headed out in the sunshine this afternoon and ended up on a petting farm not too far away so, he had a laugh talking to a very friendly cow and feeding the chickens. They also went strawberry picking and returned with a large punnet of very delicious strawberries. Would he try tasting one? Not a chance!
While I gave Alan dinner David headed to the driving range and pitch and putt to try out his new putter. Thankfully he gave it a huge thumbs up (or that what he's telling me at least!)
Now getting organised for a very special blip meet tomorrow with a blipper
I have been looking forward to meeting for a very long time. I'm so excited! See you tomorrow T! :-))
