Ghosts of Times Past

Berry Pomeroy Castle is claimed to be one of the most haunted places in Britain. It was originally built in the 15th century but in the 16th century it came into the hands of the Seymours who had big plans to make it the grandest house in Devon. They never managed to complete them and  abandoned it about 1700. Some folks have no staying power!

Marian was meeting a friend for coffee and a dog walk so I went along. I've been there many times but have never been through that imposing gate before (you can see it in the extra).
