Kowhai - New Zealand's national flower

One of the few native plants that are big and bold, it's a small leguminous tree, covered at this time of year with lovely yellow flowers. It comes in many forms, this one has big flowers in big groups, but some of the others are smaller and more delicate.

The native birds (and the introduced ones) love the nectar, and so do bees - I wonder if it's possible to get Kowhai honey?
