Head above the parapet

On days when I'm totally uninspired about what to shoot, I'm always delighted when someone suggests a subject :)

Today, Rachael pointed out that one (and only one) of our roses has now grown taller than  the garden wall. This could be a brave (or foolhardy) move, as a couple of years ago the deer came and ate every single one of them. Will this one peeping up encourage Bambi and family to come back and tuck in to them again? We shall see...
