The Wolseley Centre
I went to the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust shop for part of the day to see how I went on. It was straightforward and lovely. I was welcomed back and managed to get into the swing of selling duck food and ice creams with no trouble.
I spent 15 minutes around the sensory garden and saw a great collection of butterflies - more Red Admirals than ever (9). Small skipper, two Commas, Ringlets, Gatekeepers and various whites.
We've lost a lot of chicks (and a female mallard) to our horrid mink this year. My blip is of a youngster who has evaded the predator so far. Let's hope we can sort the mink problem very soon.
Extra - a swallow in the Cloisters
