Canberra's nature reserve - Kama

A bright sunny winter Sunday. These are the days I love in Canberra. I indulged myself with reading time, sitting in the sunlight in my living room, this morning. This afternoon I decided to take myself for a short hike in one of Canberra's nature reserves, Kama. I had thought to go the Pinnacle, but the car park was full and it seemed to be rather too popular. At Kama there was just one other car, so I knew that I would be able to enjoy the solitude and bird song. A short hike took me to a small dam and a longer hike took me to a walk looking down over the river. I saw some kangaroos, and some scarlet robins, who were rather too quick for me to get a decent photo of. The views of the Brindies, and the bush, are what I love about Canberra. Sadly, the bush areas seem to be disappearing in the name of development, and I need to take care where I point my camera to avoid shooting ugly new treeless suburbs.
