Round (and about)

It's been another hectic but hugely enjoyable day with SuMay and Susha at the Liverpool Biennial!

We started the day at 28-32 Wood Street where we saw Ming Wong's films 'Making Chinatown', 'After Chinatown' and 'The Chinese Detective'. Then onto The Bluecoat where I snapped this shot of Susha appraising Dan Graham's '2-Way Mirror Cylinder Bisected by Perforated Stainless Steel'.

Whilst outside The Bluecoat we visited the Caravan Gallery, admired their collection of hilarious and sometimes depressing photos of today's Britain and had a good chat with photographers and proprietors Jan and Chris. I mentioned Blip to Jan, so if she's reading this by any chance "Hi Jan, we all loved what the two of you are doing!"

After that it was down to Tate Liverpool for a cornucopia of delights including Doug Aitken's 'The Source'.

Next we had time for a quick dash round The Museum of Liverpool and then to the Open Eye Gallery for some fascinating shows of photographs by Mark Morrisroe and Kohei Yoshiyuki.

Finally, we stopped off at the Cunard Building where particular favourite pieces were 'Speeches' by Sylvie Blocher and 'NO' by Nadia Kaabi-Linke.

Apart from a stop for tea and cake at the Tate cafe and a drink at The Lisbon we also had a fantastic meal this evening at Delifonseca where we met up with Helen and had a very convivial time indeed.

Tomorrow marks the return to work and real life... but it's been a memorable few days! And now, to bed!
