shopping

Today has been quieter, you''ll be pleased to hear. Preparations are going on here at the vicarage for some celebrations, and people are arriving. In the morning there was cleaning, and clearing up and packing going on.

Sarah and I spent the afternoon checking out the charity shops of Blackheath. The Shelter shop is lovely and Sarah got chatting  to the lady behind the till who asked about her coat (made by Morag McPherson in Kirkcudbright). The till lady turned out to be originally from Carnoustie and had moved down here when she was 17 to train as an opera singer, which is what she does now when she's not volunteering at the Shelter shop. We were in there for quite a while, chatting away.

Tonight we are going out for a Nepalese meal, and then possibly an early night :-)
