George (85)

George is my neighbour.He is 85 years old.He spotted me taking blips and started talking with me.He Lives all by himself.He has children but none of them care to bother whether he is dead or alive.
He started talking with me about the busted case yesterday(see previous pic)...He was really annoyed by guys drinking and creating havoc on the roads these days.
He then told me he was a sailor and that he loved to drink too but had stopped drinking for last 35 years.
Originating from Mississippi ,he was a war vetran and that he had been serving on USS Brown WW2 at Pearl Harbour as well as Okinava and Iwo Jima.The picture at the bottom showed the pathway of USS brown in the pacific.
He showed me pictures of his days during the battle and told me that the japanese were tough people and they would not giveup easily.The one major attack he mentioned was the one where 23 of 30 american ships were bombed by japanese "kamikazis" and fortunately for him, he was on one of the ships that wasnt bombed/sinked.
He came back to seattle with 2300 dollars in 1945 and spent it within 7 days!
Now a days he lives quite by himself and asked me to give me a call as he feels so lonely as his girlfriend wont come to meet her that much any more.
