My old school.
Popped into town this morning for my usual Saturday coffee and catch up with a pal however I was a bit early and didn't fancy wandering round shops so I walked round past my old school.
There are many new and re-built parts since I was there 30 years ago but this bit is still the same. I remember having history lessons in the building to the left. I wonder if the Sixth Form common room is still in the right hand ivy clad bit? I bet they don't play James Brown, The Smiths and The Colorblind James Experience on the hifi any more!
It was this place that first 'developed' (excuse the pun) my love for taking photos. When we hit sixth form, thankfully, we could choose to do something more interesting than enforced rugby or cricket. I discovered art and especially the darkroom, which was a liberation. We were allowed to roam around town with our cameras and then come back and develop our films. They even had a bulk film loader so there was a limitless supply of HP5, those were the days!
