Holiday Backlog: " A Matter of Life & De

My favourite film of all time is Powell & Pressburger's 'A Matter of Life & Death. Towards the start of the film David Niven 'arrives' on a beach thinking that he's died and gone to heaven... the beach is actually the one in the blip, Saunton Sands in Devon.

Saunton Sands has also been used by Pink Floyd for a scene in their terrible film The Wall and also on the sleeve of their mediocre A Momentary Lapse of Reason. Most of Robbie Williams' video for 'Angels' is filmed there too.

I'm not a huge fan of beaches, but this is magnificent and by far my favourite place in Devon.
