Bad Grandpa...Episode #4
We picked up our kids in Kentucky, and after a nights sleep...we headed home. Again, I offered up 5 different places to stop. 5 different places to expand their horizons...5 different places to spur their learning.
5 suggestions...5 rejections.
The suggestions were:
1. The artisan center we had stopped at yesterday.
2. The Kentucky Horse Park.
3. A minor basilica in Covington, Kentucky.
4. A library in Piqua, Ohio covered with gargoyles.
5. Cabelas outdoor store in Dundee, Michigan.
I got a no, no, no, no, and a maybe. We stopped at Cabelas.
They have gates and barriers that are supposed to keep peopLe off the exhibits, but hey...my kids wanted to climb. Who was I to stop them?
Lindsay wanted to join the mountain goats at the top of the heap, Nate wanted to stop the leopard from attacking the monkeys, and Merrick wanted to ride ride ride the wild horns of the mama water buffalo. So...I let them...and snapped away while they did it. For shame Grandpa...for shame.
Actually...don't look too close. All the pictures are photo-shopped.
I put two pictures in the Extras. One more photo-shopped picture of the kids sitting on an elephant, and one real untouched photo. LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THE BRONZE GRIZZLY BEAR STATUE! The kids are dwarfed by the giant bears fighting over the carcass of a moose.
After many traffic jams (one with a horrible car accident), we got home about 6 p.m. Tired.
