Lotus Flower
Tropical House | University of Bristol Botanic Garden, UK
Down to Bristol with some of F's artwork (ink on Japanese paper) that the framer, Graham, whom we both now use, has sorted for her. He has managed the suspend her work between two large sheets of glass, so the two large drawings hang as if in mid air, then framed it all in hand-tinted wood. Ace.
So, a rest day doing a bit of pottering before a few final tweaks in her studio and then head on Tuesday to Bath School of Art and Design. It is one of ten submission venues around the country before onward forwarding for judging in London for the Jerwood Drawing Prize. Fingers crossed.
We mooched across the Downs in North Bristol to the Botanic Garden. Wonderful place - the Tropical House was just amazing.
