Church of the Good Shepherd

The day cleared, snap decision to drive to Tekapo and have a nosy at the snow.  We left late morning, even then the roads were icy and dicey at times, we saw cars abandoned on the road sides from a couple of days ago when the storm was rampant, and two vehicles had rolled and lying on their sides, both looked like tourist vehicles, one of the vans was a Juicy !!  Nuff said.

A lovely outing, we didn't linger as we knew the roads would again become icy and very dangerous as evening fell.  The contractors were busy putting grit and CMA (a substance that thaws the ice).
