Winter Aconite

Last winter my Aconite had only one flower, but this year it has 11 buds. I put it under the hedge so that it would not be crushed by the snow, but I took it out for this photo. A snowy background seems to be appropriate. The orange berry is from the waxeyes’ beloved Coprosma bush.
