Four Sandhill Cranes and One Blipper

It seems strange to call our outing a "blipmeet", since we've been friends for 30 some years before we joined blipfoto. Tim (outdoorguy) and I took our bikes to a local park to ride around the lake and get some photos of the wildlife. We had quite a few sightings...swans, coots, ducks, turkeys and sandhill cranes to name a few.
Tim brought his good camera, while I took my old one (lighter to carry, but the photos aren't much to write home about!) . At the beginning of our ride the birds were plentiful, and the cranes let Tim walk nearly up to them as he was clicking away.

Here is my offering for the day...the light was dappled through the trees, highlighting the cranes and Tim's bike helmet. We had a wonderful time, and I hope he got some good pictures!!
