Got the replacement sink wastes from Astracast FOC :)
Seems the reason they leak is that the gasket is naff and it needs the dreaded bodge juice (silicone sealant).
So anyway fitted the new wastes with silicone and they don't leak - hurrah!
New wastes made the two year old sink look rather grubby, so had to apply appropriate solution.
Polygrat - industrial stainless steel polish.
Now all shiny again.
