Kangaroo Paw
This morning we drove to the Eden project, which was one of the main things we wanted to do in Cornwall. We deliberately waited for a colder day though, as we though we might find the greenhouses too warm if it was a sunny day. It wasn't too cold, however, so we still enjoyed walking around the gardens outside. The two big bubble-like greenhouses are the main attractions, but the rest of the gardens are just as nice. This is a Kangaroo's Paw plant from the Mediterranean Biome. We went into the Mediterranean Biome first, then had lunch and went to the Rainforest one, which we enjoyed the most, particularly the bridge which let out water vapour to form a really dense cloud over the bridge. After the biomes we explored the rest of the gardens that we hadn't seen yet. As we neared the end of our walk there was a band called Turbowolf getting ready to play on the stage near the middle of Eden. Mum and Dad weren't keen but I thought they sounded alright. We also saw a few people coming into Eden who were very clearly here for the concert, with black leather jackets and band t-shirts, which amused us.
