Edinburgh
To cycle from Glasgow to Edinburgh we followed the towpath next to the Forth and Clyde Canal and continued after the Falkirk Wheel on the towpath next to the Union Canal. One hundred kilometers cycling on a dike and as good as flat. We loved it. The American warned us. He said that it was a boring traject and he had met so little people, but due to the summer weather there were a lot of people about. You cross only one village, which is a shame, but on the other hand, there are a few tea rooms and one large Tesco halfway.
We were impressed by the Falkirk Wheel. It is a marvelous piece of engineering.
At seven o'clock we arrived at the campus accommodation where we booked a room for two nights. It was only £5 more expensive than on the campsite and we have better facilities.
