Looking Back
I drew the short straw today and had to gather the sheep out of the tussocky, bracken, goat willow hell on the hill. Which is below the fence in this picture. Lovely view once I was out. It was pretty hot and airless when I was in it though. This was the second gather of the day on our own farm. The first was on the other Hill. All sheep have been gathered the lambs have had their first vaccination and one Hill has been clipped. The other (larger one) is in the shed overnight to stay dry and will be clipped tomorrow.
We had a farming friend and his wife down for the second half of the day chatting and helping as we worked. Nice relaxing atmosphere and no rushing as there was no need to. A thoroughly enjoyable day working our own sheep. Pleaser with how the lambs are coming on too.
