Comanche
Comanche was due to finish this morning, so went back to Diamond Head lighthouse hoping to see her. She finished about 11:55 AM, I couldn't wait around due to an appointment at 10:30. How I would have loved to have seen her finish.
After the appointment, went down to the Ala Wai to try and see her. Maserati tied up right behind first place finisher Mighty Merloe, but didn't see #2 finisher Phaedo3 or Comanche. Didn't see any tall masts at all. So did a 360, and saw a single tall mast in the water on the other side of the park. She was taking down the mainsail. Then she motored over to enter the channel, think it's Honolulu Harbour, but not sure. You can see the green buoy ahead of her and the red just behind her bow. She's red and black with black sails, 100 foot long. She's a beauty.
Next boats expected to finish on Thursday 13th. There's a big gap after Comanche. Winds might weaken.
Extra shows third finisher Maserati tied up behind the first place finisher Mighty Merloe at the Hawaii Yacht Club dock. No sign of the second place finisher Phaedo3. Where could they stash her, I wonder.
