Rebuilding

Lunch at the Swan was disappointing as they didn't have my first two choices of dish available. Not good, bearing in mind that they didn't have Mum's choice last week and the week before. Then a drive to Aldham for a saunter around Mill Race and a cup of tea. I bought this little heart for Mum, as she really loves glass objects. It's only about an inch wide and feels nice and smooth to hold and handle in the palm of your hand.

Mum had another day of pain, numbness and weakness in her legs plus the shaky hands. We still have no idea what the cause might be, or even if these symptoms are linked. The GP, though lovely, just tells us it's all caused by old age - a big cop-out in my humble opinion. We're also still waiting to be given a date for Mum's outpatient surgery in Chelmsford, to remove a cancerous lesion on her face. When it comes it will be our sixth medical appointment in connection with the lesion.

Raining solidly outside as I write.
