NHM: Old General Herbarium

Back blip.

This was a sparse day photographically; I took hardly any...
I took this as I walked back through the Old General Herbarium on my way to the Cryptogamic Herbarium. As I've said before, the Old Gen. Herb. is now a "ghost herbarium" in that the cabinets are now empty and the only specimens it contains are the backlog of unprocessed specimens waiting for processing and incorporation into the museum's collection. The foreground cabinets with wheels on their ends are a rolling stack.

It is a wonderful space, and I love walking through it whenever I need to get from the main hall to the new Darwin Centre side of the museum.
