Arklay Street
While the others are away in the tropics I am left to babysit the allotment, water tomatoes in the greenhouse etc. There have been allotments on the site since the 1860s, so the soil is good and deep and it faces south west. Everything has to be netted though as the pigeons will pull up every single seedling. . I took my neighbour Agnes up to pick some strawberries and raspberries and sweet peas etc. That's her lurking by the shed. She quickly stepped behind it when she reaslised what I was doing so I have to use the pic with the wire in it.
The raspberries in the foreground are yellow ones and planted by mistake, we don't think the flavour is so great.
