Just add sugar!

Feeling a bit sorry for myself today as have started a cold. After a morning in the charity shop and a bowl of soup, I decided that fresh air was required. Came across the place where I picked these blackberries by pure chance yesterday, so returned today to do the deed. Closer to my house than my normal hunting ground.
Apples are from Morrisons as there is nowhere to go "scrumping" round here!
Why are the biggest berries just out of reach? Have got lots of scratches and am now a member of the "purple hand" gang, but the taste will be well worth it.
