The extra is also of the harbour. Wherever you go you can see either the scrap heap or the incinerator or both.  But, on the plus side, they provide much needed jobs.

"Meeching", as in the name of the boat to the right, was the previous name of the village until a storm caused the River Ouse to break through here, forming a new harbour or haven. It simultaneously deprived Seaford,  a few miles to the east and previously the port, of its maritime industries. However Wiki suggests the channel was cut deliberately.
