2017 Sunday -- North Cayucos

Pelicans, seagulls, and the fog can all be seen in this photo if you enlarge it. We had taken the three pups out for a late afternoon walk at Hardy Park and then decided to go for a drive.

At the north end of town we noticed all these birds. All day the fog flirted with the shoreline. When the inland region swelters with summer heat, the coastal fog appears. We usually have our best summers in the mid-winter month of January, but not in June or July.

Our Sunday drive took us as far north as the little community of San Simeon and there we stopped for dinner before turning south to head for the house.
