milkweed beetle

I bought 3 milkweed plants Saturday ( and a few other native pollinator supporters) at a nursery in Ithaca, really Groton but who is counting ? It took 3 nights to get the spot I wanted to put them cleaned out, rocks and grass removed and to get the plants in. I am hoping they will fill in quickly and spread , attracting butterflies and larvae . The first thing it attracted though was this bug, before I had even planted it! Pretty harmless , from what I have read,
