Splashing around (Day 795)

After the morning wander up the hill, I got a call out to sort Crispin's boiler. I trundled across to Stromness and made the necessary repairs whilst having a good blether to Crispin. He announced that he had a gift for me, and presented me with a book about Roman Lettering, which details the geometry and construction of the letter forms. Crispin knows that I am a letter carver, and thought that I would like the book which he has had for 60 years. I am very lucky to have such great customers. Extras today are the book, and the inscription inside.
Returning to the van after finishing Crispin's job, another fairly regular customer spotted me and asked me to do some work for her. That will be a job for later in the week.
From Stromness I headed to Coldomo, where Ej and my beautiful wife were just heading out on the hosses. I left them to it and returned home, where I got the grass cut.
After lunch with HV, we took the woofers to Aikerness where they splashed around in the sea for a while.
There was a brief stop at home before a short trip to town.
The joys of paperwork soaked up the rest of the afternoon.
