Edging closer
Ready
To tear my life asunder
In one almighty
Blast
A reality check
Where home truths
Are stamped

On to the blotched copy book

A sad history
Of regret
Of unanswered questions
Of regretted lies
Untruths
Listened to
By ears that expect only truth
Felt by
A heart that deserved better
