Project: Denim

Hi everyone!
I've been on a sewing kick lately.
This denim bag is from jeans that no longer fit me...two sizes too big! Yay!! The liner is from an old pillow case. I didn't have to buy anything! All upcycled from my sewing closet!! I decided the liner wasn't the look I wanted, so found another well worn out pillow case which looks less busy and made another liner. It's off white w/blue accent flowers. Much better results!
This was my first denim bag and I'm very pleased w/the results! It's creative, comfy, and stylish. I can't wait to make more. The possabilities are endless!! I'm also going to make a denim rag quilt w/a soft backing. Not sure what though. Fleece or maybe an old sheet? Both sides will look nice w/out extra backing though. I'll just have to think on it as I go along w/the project. I've decided I'm very much enjoying my passion for creativity. I'm even starting to feel more alive again! Hope it stays with me this time. I'm not sure I will be able to escape the dark cloud again.

Today is my son's 22nd Birthday!!!!! I would've posted a pic of him and his party, but he's been gone all day so it'll be party time tomorrow. Then I'll post a pic of my boy with his cake! I know he's supposed to be getting the gifts since it's his BD, but God gave me the best gift...which is my son. So you see, I got the best BD gift ever!! Thank you Lord for my son!
