The Party Went On In His Absence...

A trip to Bradford to meet Lupes at a party being put on to celebrate David Hockney's 80th birthday...he must have lost his invite, but the party went on in his absence with balloons and parades and marching musicians and dancing and discos and dressing up stations and free party hats!

We had an ulterior motive for being there...to meet with the bride and groom to-be and to discuss plans for photographing their upcoming wedding in a few weeks...don't tell Lupes but I am actually pretty terrified of the whole thing! They are a lovely couple and want a quiet understated wedding so hopefully Lupes and I can blend into the background, do a good job and get the shots they are after.
