Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Home!

We arrived back home from our wonderful Norway holiday about 10.30. After many hours sitting around the rather disorganised Bergen airport, then the calm spacious Schiphol airport (where I got invited to board the plane first along with a lady in a wheelchair).

Archie rushed out to greet us bark hysterically at us coming up the path. He gave us his usual underwhelmed welcome - 'Oh, you're back. I've had a great time without you anyway.'

And indeed he has had a wonderful time. Kit and Fran took good care of Archie, even letting him sleep with them on the bed. He had lots of friends taking him out during the week, so they had plenty of time off dog duty, whether they wanted it or not.

They have now swapped their 'summer in Scotland' clothes for 'summer in Spain' clothes.

JR had to rush off to clean her AirB&B flat this morning, which wasn't such good timing. But a restful evening is planned...

Yes, it's nice to be home, but we were surprised to find that Archie seems to have acquired a car...
