Odd bedfellows

I found it strange that this coot was willing to share her nest with a gull. They were both in that position for at least 1/2 hour.
The weather continues to be very hot. Everytime I look at a forecast it seems to show that the heatwave will break in a few days but by the time we get to that point it shows it will be another few days! It doesn't really bother me if I am at home as I am quite good at doing nothing when needs be but working is a different story.
