Waiting
The big (farming) society 'wedding of the year' had everyone in town gawping for the first sight of the bride as she emerged from the church. As we stopped to watch we were delighted to see that the latest members of the community had joined the waiting throng too, standing at the entrance to the church. Mum's taking pictures on her phone, dad's holding the baby and the kids are probably hoping to do something more interesting soon.
Just after this they joined the crowd in the churchyard and we lost sight of them but was good to know that despite being here hardly more than a week they felt confident enough to be out and about like any other family on a Saturday morning.
Minutes later the bride emerged and was driven off in the open top car along with her husband and their infant. (I'm so glad we live in a time when it's perfectly acceptable to start your family before you arrange your nuptials.)
The bridesmaids and page boys had tractor transport of course.
I felt it was OK to take a photograph that shows the family from behind but I may delete it at some point.
