Fussy cutting!!
A superb day with my quilting group. So much chat and sharing of information about sewing, along with numerous other subjects.
The block on the left is the one that I made last Saturday, the one on the right has a similar centre but a different backing. These two will make one cushion cover. The circle in the middle uses the quarter circle template in the opposite direction, so giving a completely different pattern. I've managed to get 4 quarters to make a similar circle from the remaining material. They will be appliquéd to the same backgrounds to make another cushion. I will blip them when completed.
R & P called in later to collect the remaining food in our fridge. I hate throwing good stuff away, especially when it has to sit in the bin outside for a week before being collected.
There was some excitement at the village hall this morning. Someone came in to asked for cars to be moved as a branch had broken on one of the trees. Typical blipper I had to have a peek to see what was happening. The pic in extras shows the size of the tree, the branch and the tree surgeon who came to remove the branch!!! He looks tiny up that tree.
The other extra is the sample quilt from last week, which I don't plan to make, but uses the same fabrics.
