Old Man of Hoy

Rather a nice surprise to be greeted to the sight of the Old Man of Hoy on our ferry crossing to Orkney this afternoon. I vaguely remember watching live footage of Chris Bennington and others climbing the stack on our black and white television as a kid. Seemed very exciting at the time - and probably rather tame compared to visual expectations now.

Weather has been a tad naughty since we arrived. Hoping for better things tomorrow.
