Happy 86th Birthday

Today my Mom is 86.  So we are celebrating.

Of course, this morning when she woke up, she didn't know it was her birthday and when we arrived at about 11.30, she was rather miserable and didn't understand what was happening.  She certainly didn't know the presents were for her.  She brightened up when she found some pink champagne truffles in one of the parcels and opened them immediately!  Then we had some lunch together - her favourite salmon and prawn salad followed by strawberries and cake.

In between, we attempted a mini photoshoot and that always makes us laugh.  Some of the results make me want to cry though - that lost look that comes into her eyes when she just doesn't know what is going on.  

Tonight we are going out for a meal and hoping to have a good evening.
