Stag...

This statue made me look twice today.

It is outside St Giles Cathedral in Edinburgh, and I have passed it many times, but waiting for my daughter in town today I had time to note it. The 4 stags on the corners are amazing, and I never knew the figure on top was a Walter Scott - that is Walter Francis Montagu Douglas Scott.

I wondered if the middle names might be handy in a trivia quiz, but it is not the writer, unfortunately, so I can forget them again after this blip!
