Fishing for cats

Our first full day in Croatia and we begin our holiday in Dubrovnik, a beautiful old walled town of pale stone and red rooftops. I have never seen Game of Thrones but Dubrovnik is, apparently, King's Landing and there is a lot of GOT tours and merchandise. Very hot though and VERY busy.
This was taken down at the harbour. Dubrovnik is full of stray cats in various stages of manginess, it breaks your heart. Still, they're pretty resilient. This lovely man was fishing for tiny silver fish with a piece of thread and a hook to which he attached some bread. When he caught a fish he fed it to the cats who had gathered around him (more in extras.) What a hero!
