Giant Fleabane ....

..... it doesn't look like it at the moment but when the yellow spiral unfolds a large flower of the daisy family, Inula magnifica, with petals stretched like the sun will stand up to 1.8m tall.

The weather was so much warmer today ... great not to have to wear an extra layer .... even the breeze lacked the usual chill factor.

A morning of shopping in St Andrews .... birthday cards, socks and something for tea. A morning in St Andrews wouldn't be complete without stopping for coffee in our favourite coffee shop, Northpoint. The scones are rather large so L and I shared a lovely lemon and poppyseed one.
