Today's lunch

We were booked into the hunter's festivities in the local village. An eight kilometre stroll followed by a communal meal. The boar above were roasting for six hours to provide the main course. There was an emphasis on boar in the menu - melon, terrine de sanglier (wild boar), civet de sanglier, brochette de sanglier, cheese and ice-cream. The chef must have been disapponited at the lack of sanglier-flavoured ice-cream.
All very slow and genial. Ten tickets for the tombola purchased, three prizes won.
Rolled home for a couple of hours siesta before supper to wake up four hours later. A film suggested and so we watched "The Grand Budapest Hotel", two hours of my life I won't get back.
