Mirabel

Going stir crazy, we decided to go for a day out today. Off to the DIY delights of Aubenas and then into to the hills opposite, taking in amongst others this pretty village in the hills. A spectacular castle towers over the village and this image is taken from it.
On then for lunch and living proof that not all roadside auberges in France provide a fantastic cheap meal. The French version of Shepherd's Pie should  not have been a sensible choice to put on the menu du jour  with the temperature is around 35. Can't win them all.
