We take a walk through Achamore Gardens up to the view point. It's lovely, and appealingly rough around the edges. There's been no gardener for years and Achamore a House is still on the market - a bargain at £900k ;)

The two dozen oysters I ordered are waiting in the doorstep when we return. Lots of people are leaving and the rest turn out to not be oyster fans. Claire and I shuck a dozen and I pack the rest in sea water for the night.

Up at the hotel it's "Survivor Night". I go along to check it out, but it's quite uninspiring. Henri is playing a subdued mandolin to two island gents with guitars and microphones going through their catalog of covers. An unexpected inclusion - Rosie from Jackson Browne. And a survivor plays a few tunes, including a politically incorrect ditty mired in misogyny.
