New view

Well of course it's not a new view. Glen Massan from the Chilean garden hillside has probably looked much the same for aeons, give or take a few hundred trees. But there's a lovely new memorial bench perched on a rock where last year a big tree was cut down, and it's on a perfect site for an uninterrupted view of what lies below, with no dead ground to compromise what you can see.

A lovely walk, and one which might have yielded more photos than it did, were it not for the fact that I was with my pal, returned from a trip south, and we were talking far too much for me to concentrate on subjects. There were no flying ants of the kind that plagued Wimbledon today - I think of them as being an August phenomenon in these parts - but it felt like summer in the warm sunshine.
