July 4th Girls

This baby girl was born last night so she shares K's birthday! I love how they put her in a washing basket!

They are yezidi refugees and today the mum and Granny were so chatty and wanted to talk in great detail about the day da'esh came to their village. The stories were terrible. It's a miracle they got away to the mountain, especially as she was over 8 months pregnant. Lots of their relatives got killed and taken. One 12 year old girl escaped afterwards but was pregnant and died from complications. 23 women and children have just returned to their families after being freed in the battle for Mos. But the children now don't speak K, only Arabic so they can't communicate with their relatives. So new problems to deal with.
