Lucky thirteen

So, thirteen years to the day since the birth of the pluckiest, most stoic person I know, my youngest daughter, Abi. See also: smart, funny, sassy, and never too far from an intelligent opinion. 

She and Dan came up to the house for a few hours, this afternoon, for a birthday lunch with three of their sisters, plus the Minx, and miniMinx. There was - courtesy of the phenomenon of children shopping with their dad's debit card - a splendid spread for lunch, some fizz and beer, and, of course, a cake.
